  • CAN PARENTS/RELATIVES ATTEND?

We take the safety of our Soundwave Academy students seriously. For this reason, only registered campers and authorized staff are permitted to have access inside the building during program hours. On Friday, there will be a showcase that parents and other family members are invited –and encouraged– to attend!

We do have a number of spots available on campus for chaperones during the week. (If you are an adult that is interested in participating as a chaperone, please see the “What Is A Chaperone?” section for more information.)

  • WHAT IS A CHAPERONE?

A Soundwave Academy chaperone is an important role. Chaperones help ensure safety of campers, make sure groups get to their appropriate classes, and assist in various supportive roles while students are having instructional time. There are also opportunities to sit in on clinics throughout the week.

We take our responsibility as youth mentors and role models very seriously, and ask that chaperones do as well. As such, all chaperones must be willing to submit to a background check, as well as provide a statement of faith/values. Please reach out directly via the contact page or text 615-326-9448  if you are interested in a chaperone position.
